OMG! Guess Who Use to Rap?….

There has been somewhat of an uproar with Miley Cyrus fans after she decided to rap on French Montanas remix “Aint Worried Bout Nothing” remix. Fans and non fans alike kept reminding Cyrus that she used to be Hannah Montana, a Disney kids icon, a fact I think she already knows. Miley Cyrus was cited rapping about “stunting” and hanging with “thick chicks”. I personally love Miley Cyrus who also came to Brooklyn, Ny Atlantic Ave station to shoot a promo video for her video “We Can’t Stop”, in which her she appeared with a group of females holding fire breathers and tagging the tunnel walls. This was a promo shot for the VMA’s which will be hosted August 25th at Barclays center in Brooklyn, New York this year for the first time ever.

Miley Cyrus isn’t the only television star who once rapped (or vice versus).  Guess who also once had a career as a bad-ass rapper? Ted (the movie ) pal John Bennett who is the character played by actor Mark Wahlberg (who also starred in other films such as Contraband, The Departed, 2 Guns, Four Brothers, Basketball Diaries etc…). Wahlberg before becoming an actor was interested in a career as a rapper and even arrived at his acting audition with no shirt , a ball cap backwards advertising his boxer shorts. Wahlberg is know for performing songs such as “Good Vibrations”, “Thunder Buddies”, and “Life In The Streets”. know by the self made moniker “Marky Mark” and “Double M”.

But Wahlberg and Cyrus aren’t the only actor who once sought out the “Bad Ass” rap persona and career. Natalie Portman also had that same desire and her rap was even featured on Saturday Night Live (with a lot of bleeps) The rap song is actually hilariously funny. In one part of the video a young Natalie gets up and bashes the interviewer with her chair before walking away. She also mentions how she was a nuisance at Harvard University. If Portman wasn’t such a big successful actress (starring in 2 of my favorite movies of ALL TIME V For Vendetta & Black Swan) and just a normal teen who performed this rap song and posted it on YouTube, I believe the video still would have went viral and became an Internet sensation. A more mature Portman has also been featured in a song with Paul McCartney “My Valentines”.
